After 8 long years of hype and no vision Johnson's, DeCiccio's, & Simplot's  Downtown Phoenix plan simply does not work! At 6 p.m. the City rolls up the sidewalks. If you do not believe me, ask yourself, when was the last time you visited Downtown Phoenix? None of us do because there is simply nothing to do in Downtown Phoenix.

Apparently everyone in the United States thinks so too!  Check out the 25 most visited attractions in America.  Nope Phoenix did not make the cut.

If that does not convince you Downtown Phoenix doesn't work, read the next three articles.

PHOENIX, The PLAN 468 SERIES

Proposed Phoenix SeaWorld at La Playa del Sol
Funding for the development of Plan 468 projects will come from President Barack Obama's economic stimulus plan to stimulate the economy by using federal funds to develop and construct infrastructure, transportation, and related economic development programs to create jobs with a focus on Green jobs. Other funds will include La Playa del Sol Casino revenue.
Plan 468 "Mixed Use Development Nodes"

Philly Live, a destination retail, dining and entertainment district in the area adjacent to the Wachovia Center in South Philadelphia, PA.

5.1 million visitors last year visited San Antonio River Walk, Texas.

5.1 million last year were River Walk visitors as San Antonio proclaims itself the "Number One entertainment destination in Texas," with 5.1 million visitors a year. Paseo del Rio's Executive Director Greg Gallaspy says that number stayed constant in 2008, with more than 900,000 people attending events produced by the association including the Fiesta de las Luminarias when the walkway is aglow with candle-lit bags, a mariachi festival, and
a floating Mardi Gras Parade.
Proposed La Playa del Sol in Rio Salado
Proposed La Playa del Sol adjacent to Rio Salado south of downtown Phoenix looking east. A portion of the Proposed La Playa del Sol lagoon will be used to replicate a Caribbean coral reef to provide scuba diving realism.
